The last few days have been spent cleaning my bedrooms! Yes that's right, plural. Basically I have the box room but since my gran died a couple of years ago we redecorated her bedroom and it's now my main room as it's so much bigger, and particularly as I spend most of my spare time on the net and we have a separate phone line in that room. The only down side to it is that I have two rooms to clean. :( That room isn't too bad as it's large and I haven't got too much stuff in there but my box room is cram full of stuff and I've spent four days in total cleaning it out and getting rid of all sorts of crap. At least it's done now so I can relax. :D
I've spent so much time these last couple of weeks cleaning I'm thinking of buying a maid's uniform. LOL!!
I've been so busy I haven't had time yet to watch the unaired pilot that Teresa sent me on VCD. I've watched most of the interviews and promos but haven't got round to watching the pilot. I'm determined to do that today.
On Saturday I received R.S.V.P. and Biker Boyz and I've only had time to watch the former. It's a great film even though Majandra is only in it for about 20 minutes. Glenn Quinn is also great and it's such a shame that he died at such a young age.
I'm planning on watching Biker Boyz today. Can't wait as Brendan looks so damn hot on his motorbike. :wink:
I've uploaded the second banner that Vera made me which is very cool. She's back now from her hols so hopefully she and Zia will pick up the RPG. I love that story so much. :D
Anyway, I'm off now to have my brekkie. I may be back later - who knows!!

I found out this morning that two of my fics have won awards at Zia's awards site. I'm so chuffed!! :D I was up against some brilliant authors and their stories so I can't believe I won.

Today's been a weird day. I'm still not feeling all that great but I've got my fingers crossed for tomorrow. LOL!!
I kinda lazed around today again and I spent a while chatting to Sherry and then Teresa. When I spoke to Teresa later this evening I found out she used to live a couple of miles away from me. How weird is that? :o It really is a small world after all. God, that sounds so cheesey.
I'll leave it there I think. :D

I saw a job that I thought was right up my alley advertised in Friday's local gazette so I called up to get an application form. I don't know why I didn't think of it at the time but anyway I went on the company's website today and saw the details of the job and it's nothing like what the ad said. I am so disappointed as it's a local job - which is what I really want - the money was pretty good and the hours are flexible. I just hope there's something else in the paper on Friday. I really don't want to sign up with an agency unless I absolutely have to.
On a more uplifting note, I received a postcard from Vera today who's in Tenerife. She seems to be having a good time there which is nice to hear.
I was supposed to do some housework today but I didn't feel like it so I'll do it tomorrow. I've got a feeling I won't feel like it then either. LOL!!
I listened to Embrace's greatest hits album this evening - there are so many wicked songs on it. I think my absolute fave of theirs has got to be Wonder. Beautiful!! :D
Had a chat with Sherry on Messenger tonight. She's just given us a sneak preview of a new fic she's working on and I've already fallen in love with it. Can't wait to read more.

It's been a while since I've posted but I've been feeling really crappy. I think I might be coming down with something which is so the last thing I need right now!
The munchkin came back on Monday night - or should I say the early hours of Tuesday morning. Thank Christ she liked her room after all the hard work we've put in but the first thing out of her mouth when she saw it was that I hadn't put her candle back in the right place. Good job I kept the photos of her room before we started as evidence. :D
Stayed up talking with her for a while before I flaked out exhausted. Unfortunately, once I was in bed I couldn't sleep so I felt like crap later on Tuesday when I had to get up and go shopping with her.
I finally ordered my multi-region DVD player and I received it on Wednesday. It's now all up and running and I tested it with my free Alias DVD as well as the movie Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and it works fine. I've now ordered RSVP and Biker Boyz and I got an e-mail from Amazon saying it's been shipped. Can't wait for them to arrive. I think I'll have me a Maj and Bren fest. LOL!! :wink:
I've written a bit more of my elevator sequel fic but not much. I sent what I've typed so far to Teresa to have a look at and she said she loves it which I'm really pleased about. Hopefully I'll write a bit more soon. I know what I want to say....it's just a matter of transferring that to paper or should I say laptop.
Okay, that's me done for now.

| I've won a tenner!! |

It's so strange - I never do the lottery but yesterday there was a rollover and the jackpot was around £18 Million and so I decided to get a couple of lines. I didn't bother checking the TV last night but this morning when I was reading the paper I checked the numbers and found out I'd won a tenner. I know it's not a fortune but I've never won anything before so I'm stoked!! :D
The last couple of days have been pretty uneventful. I spent most of yesterday putting all of Janet's things back in her room and now it's completely finished. The lilac paint she chose for the walls is great and the room looks completely different. I just hope she likes it when she comes home tomorrow night.
Got an e-mail from Lee on Friday and it was really nice to hear from him. I didn't realise how long it had been since I'd last heard from him.
I plucked up the courage the other night and joined the BOF's thread over at Brendan's board and everyone is so nice over there. It's great to find some UK fans of his.
I'm a really big Majandra Delfino fan but unfortunately a lot of her movies aren't available in the UK. There's one movie in particular I'd love to see and Val has offered to buy it and send it to me. She's an absolute diamond and hopefully if she is able to do it, my VCR will be fine playing it. *fingers crossed*
I'm having a lazy day today and I'm going to try and write some more of my sequel. I really hate having writer's block. I'm determined to write a bit more of APR if I can. I'm only planning on having that be a couple more chapters but it's coming up with a good idea on how to end it.
I'm off to re-read the latest chapters of Doc's H&H. It's so damn good and I can't wait for the final chapters to be posted.

It's obviously been a sad day because of the anniversary of the atrocities that took place two years ago today. The news has been featured several interviews with relatives of those who died and it is so heartbreaking to hear them talk of their loss. How can you even begin to imagine and understand what they and the survivors of 9/11 have been through these past two years. My thoughts and prayers today are with everyone who has been affected.

It's time to celebrate - the cleaning is done!! :D Okay, I know. I'm over exaggerating but do you ever get absolutely bone tired? If the answer is yes, then you can understand how bloody knackered I've felt these last few days.
Nothing much has happened today except I've come up with an idea for a new story. It's loosely based on a storyline from an English soap opera I used to watch a few years ago and I loved it. I've still got the episodes on tape - how sad am I? No, please don't answer that! I've basically got the story laid out and adapted it to suit M&M so I'll just see how it goes.
I've now got three stories I'm working on plus one that is already posted on the boards that is unfinished and which I'm suffering a severe case of writer's block. I need to get that finished before I feel totally able to concentrate on my other stories. I'm definitely going to work on the sequel first though.
I was listening to Majandra's live CD today and all I can say is that I'm so glad I donated money to the KC board to get it. I've lost count of the times I've played it. I love her voice and I'd do anything to see her live in concert. I almost had the chance in May this year but the show got cancelled pretty much at the last minute which sucked. Hopefully, I'll get a chance some time in the near future.
Okay, I'm off to make some phone calls.

All this cleaning is knackering me out and I can't believe I've got another day of it to look forward to. The plan is to start painting on Thursday and that still looks set. Janet's room is pretty much empty now and all I need to do is wash the furniture and the walls before the painting starts.
Got another text from her this morning. Apparently, I'm now a weather girl!! My job now is to check the weather forecast on the net for whichever place her and Dee are in or are on their way to. So far the places they've been to have been fairly cloudy and the temperatures aren't too high although the humidity is. The weather in west London hasn't been too bad the last few days, probably better than it's been in Italy. LOL!! :lol:
Got a really sweet PM from Vera this morning offering to make me my own button to link to my blog. I've e-mailed her a Candy pic I want to use and I can't wait to see how it comes out. I love her banners and buttons so it should be great! :D
All this cleaning is cutting into my lazing around and fanfic writing time. LOL! I'm determined to finish it tomorrow and then my uncle can start the painting. The only thing is that once that's done I've got to then put all her stuff back in exactly the same place it was in before I cleared it away. That means I can just chuck it around as that's the state I found it in!!
Okay, I'm off to beddy-byes now!

Firstly, thank you Selina for your comment. I'm glad you like the colours I've used for my blog. This is the first time I've attempted something like this so I'm just trying stuff out.
We've decided that while Janet's in Italy having a great time we're going to clean and decorate her room. Yay!! I bet you can just feel the sarcasm can't you! So I've spent most of today dusting and putting her stuff away in preparation for painting her room later this week. I can't believe the amount of dust covering her books, CD's and videos. I actually found some of my stuff that I'd been looking for! I've got to carry on with the dusting tomorrow and I ain't looking forward to it.
Janet actually telephoned late this afternoon and said she's having a good time. So far the nicest place they've been to has been Verona. They were only there for a day though before travelling on to Bologna. On Wednesday they travel to Florence so hopefully that'll be better.
Got a text from Lee tonight. I'm glad he contacted me 'cos I hadn't heard from him in a while and I was getting a bit worried. I was actually going to e-mail him tomorrow to see if he was okay. He told me that he was actually off work all last week on holiday though he didn't actually go away anywhere, at least I don't think he did. I don't blame him for not looking forward to going back. I used to hate going back to work after my holidays. After just a day back there you felt like you hadn't even been away!
Voting has started over at Susan and Zia's sites so I went over and voted for my fave fics. It is so hard to choose between all the great fics in each category.
I'm off to bed before I drop ready for another day of cleaning tomorrow. Can't wait!!

I woke up feeling so much better than yesterday which was great. :D On checking my Hotmail account I found an e-mail from Susan officially letting me know I've been nominated over at RDS which made me feel even better. I don't think I stand a chance in hell of winning as I'm up against some brilliant authors but I'm just so honoured to have been nominated.
Janet texted this morning to say that she and Dee were on their way to Verona. Hopefully she'll like that more than she did Venice. She said the Venezians were actually really rude and really slow when they were walking. Seeing as Janet walks at about 50 mph I'm not surprised she thinks they're slow. I have to run to keep up with her when we're out shopping!!
I spent a good portion of the day sorting through old papers and tomorrow I'll shred the ones I don't want or need anymore. What an exciting life I lead, huh?
I managed to write another couple of pages of my sequel and I've now sent it off to Bre to see what she thinks. I'm going to try and write at least two pages a day - well, that's my intention anyway. Somehow I don't think I'll stick to it.
I really want to try writing a PG or PG-13 fic as opposed to all my NC-17 ones. I've seen a challenge over at Belit's site that might be pretty good so I'll see what happens there.
I'm feeling knackered so I think I'll have an early night. God, I'm so damn boring.

I've been feeling crappy all day and so after having my shower this morning I went back to bed. I hope I'm feeling better tomorrow.
Got another text from Janet who said the weather in Venice today was cold but her and Dee were going to take a ride on a gondola after brekkie. I wish I'd asked her to give me a list of all the places they're going to be visiting. I think the next stop is Rome but I can't remember for sure.
I'm supposed to be working on my stories but my mind is blank. I've written about 7 pages so far of my sequel to 'In Between'. I want to get a bit more written before I send it to Bre for her opinion.
I'm really pissed off with MSN Messenger at the moment. They recently upgraded their system and unfortunately for me they no longer cater for Mac OS 9 users. You have to have OS 9.2.2 and IE 6. I have got MSN 6 on Janet's old PC but I've only got a pay-as-you-go account on there so I can't stay on it too long otherwise I'll run up the phone bill. It's just so damn annoying.
There's crap all on TV again so I'm just surfing the net. It's weird to think I used to spend so much time watching the soaps but now I hardly watch any TV. All the good stuff like Friends and Alias have finished so I've got to wait for the new seasons next year. At least I've got them on tape so I can re-watch 'em.
Okay rant over. Hopefully, I'll be a bit more upbeat tomorrow!

I got my Visa bill in the post this morning and while I knew it was probably going to be high I wasn't expecting it to be that high. :shock: I've definitely got to stop spending!!
I saw someone added a comment to one of my fics over at CID and when I read it I was like awwwww. Sarah said I was a 'talented writer'. I love getting feedback and so far I've been lucky in that I've only had positive responses. I know some people receive really negative e-mails which make them feel crappy and doubt their writing. I'm hoping I won't get any of those!

Edited to add: Janet just sent me a text message to say she's arrived in Venice and that the weather is really warm.

Well this is my first post so I'm just trying it out and seeing what happens.
I've been awake since 5.45 this morning. My sister came in and woke me up to say goodbye as she's flying to Italy for a 10 day holiday. I'm hoping she'll bring me something nice back. (Preferably chocolate! :D )
Okay, that's it for now. I'm going to go get some brekkie and then have a shower.
Not very exciting for a first post but hopefully it'll get better.
