*Sniff* That was so sad!!
03.30.04 (10:26 pm) [edit]
I watched the 100th episode of Angel last night and the ending was so sad. :( I loved having Cordy back in the show and I was really stunned with how things turned out. Once it had finished, I remembered little clues during the episode, particularly at the beginning, which gave it away.
The part with Harmony punching out Eve was so funny. I never thought I'd say it, but I'm glad they brought Harmony into the show as a regular.
The fight between Angel and Lindsey/Doyle was pretty good and even though he was evil, I'm kinda sad to see him go. Christian Kane's a hottie.
Oh, I found out this morning that my fic, 'Coming Home To You', has won Best CC Fic of the Month at The Eraser Room. It's been up a few times before and each time got beaten so it's nice to finally win. The funny thing is I was up against myself as two of the other stories in that category were mine. As there were only five choices I had a 3 in 5 chance of winning.
I had a really bad night's sleep last night mainly because our damn house alarm went off at 12:30 am for no apparent reason and I couldn't get back to sleep afterwards. Obviously the first thing that jumps into your head is that there's someone in the house but my stepdad went down to check it out and everything seemed fine. It looks like it might have been a malfunction or something and the alarm company will probably have to check it out. I hope it doesn't happen again tonight. I need my sleep!!

This is very scary!
03.30.04 (10:35 am) [edit]
We found out on the news that bomb making equipment was found in various locations in London and the South East today. The scary thing for me is one of the locations is less than ten minutes away from where I live. 700 police officers raided all these locations in a simultaneous raid at 6 am this morning and several arrests have been made.
The equipment found included substances that were used in the Bali and Istanbul bombings.
It's strange that last night outside my house there was quite a lot of police activity and we couldn't work out why. There hadn't been an accident - which is usually the reason the police are there - and it didn't appear that they were going into one of the houses on our road. We thought maybe the police were putting their 'stop and search' policy into effect. It now looks as if it was probably connected somehow to the raids this morning.
I'm obviously relieved that the police foiled this attempt but there are still people out there who belong to these terror groups and who are determined to maim and kill. The police have said that these arrests are just the tip of the iceberg and are resigned to the fact that there will probably be a terrorist attack at some point in London.

I've been naughty!!
03.29.04 (11:08 am) [edit]
We've got a website over here called Cybercandy where you can buy sweets and chocolate that are only available in the US, Canada, Japan and Australia and I ordered a few bits and pieces the other day which arrived today. The title of this blog really sums me up because I am a total candyholic. LOL!! I ordered these Oreo chocolate cookie bars that are absolutely yummy and I also got my peanut butter M&Ms. I wish they'd bring them out over here because they're so good. The thing I really wanted were my cookie dough bites but they sold out of those which was disappointing. :( It was probably a good thing though.
Last night I watched this really cute movie called Kissing Jessica Stein which I'd heard about when it was released over here a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to make into many cinemas so I never got to see it on the big screen. Anyway, it was on one of the Sky movie channels and I watched that instead of watching Alias. Luckily, the channel that Alias is on has a sister channel that repeats the episode an hour later which is cool so I still got to see it. :D
I thought The O.C. was good last night but if I didn't already know that Seth hooks up with Summer later on in the season, I'd swear the character was gay. As the guys and gals in Friends said to Chandler when they thought he was gay, he just has a "quality."

So, I've finally posted something!
03.27.04 (11:59 pm) [edit]
Yep, I have. I actually finished my WDAMYK tag last night and after getting some comments on it from Sarah and Vera over at RCWW, I've just posted it on the boards. Hopefully people will like it.
I always get so nervous when I've finished something and that's why I like posting at the writing group first. I really think it's helped to make me a better writer or at least I hope it has. :D
I've woken up this morning feeling really lousy. I had a horrible night's sleep and what with the clock's going forward an hour, I feel yucky. I just hope this doesn't last all day 'cos I've got The O.C. and then Alias after that so the last thing I need is for this to develop into a migraine which is what usually happens. :(
Staying up so late watching The Fast and the Furious probably wasn't the best idea but I'd never seen it before and I wanted to see what happened at the end. Can I just say that Paul Walker is pretty yummy!!

Here's a cute little quiz I found which, seeing as I love lip gloss - yes, I am weird, what'cha gonna do about it? LOL!! - I thought I'd do and share my results which are as follows:

This made me laugh!!
03.27.04 (6:35 am) [edit]
So, in the newspapers over here this week we heard about Sting's confession on Howard Stern's show that he and his wife are into wife-swapping and threesomes. Anyway, one of my favourite journalists, Dominic Mohan, from 'The Sun' had this great article on his page today which was set up like those CD advertisements you see in magazines and newspapers.
This is what it said which made me laugh:
[b]The Best of The Police & Swing
Features all his big ones and a few re-entries including:
* Massage In A Brothel * Wrapped Around Your Swinger * Roast-Anne * Every Bird You Take * King of Perv * If You Love Somebody Tie Them Up * Every Little Thing He Does Is Kinky [/b]
Nice one, Dom!! :D

Wow!! I've finally written something!
03.26.04 (12:37 pm) [edit]
I've finally had a chance to do some writing and I've been quite good in that I've concentrated on the current fic, "First Time for Everything." It's not completely done but I've posted what I've done so far at the writing group because I'm not totally sure if it sounds okay. Hopefully, the girls over there will let me know and I can amend it accordingly. I know what I want to include in the chapter after this one so hopefully I'll get a chance to write it.
I've also started a new one-part fic using a line from my fave Busted song and hopefully I'll get that finished over the weekend.
I was over at Brendan's board earlier and saw that he's been out and about. It seems like ages since we've seen him anywhere. He's looking gorgeous as always and the current haircut really suits him. It reminds me a little of S1 Michael from Roswell. :D
Here are a couple of pics:

Had a nice chat with Sherry this evening - well evening for me  - and she filled me in on some stuff for Alias and The O.C. I'm so happy that I actually have shows to watch 'cos if you're not a soap fan - which I'm not anymore - there's nothing else on.
Oh, and I just found out that we're going to be getting Without A Trace and Tru Calling over here soon. I've heard good things about these shows and I'm looking forward to seeing them. Also, I think Devon was in an epi of Without A Trace. I've heard rumours that we might be getting The L-Word and I'm really hoping we do. I've heard some very interesting things about Devon's character in that.
My TV schedule's looking good baby!! How sad am I?

Guilty!!
03.22.04 (11:46 pm) [edit]
I'm feeling really guilty at the moment because one of my fics keeps getting bumped and I have no idea when I'll be able to post the next part. It's half written but I haven't touched it for a while. Things are manic right now and the funny thing is I don't know why. There just don't seem to be enough hours in the day for me to get everything done that I need to. The amount of time I'm able to be online has been greatly reduced and I'm not even working yet!! God knows what'll happen when I am. :(
I had to resign as a moderator at Eternally Yours the other day due to lack of time. I just didn't think it was fair for me to have that title when I'm hardly over there. Hopefully, I can go back there at some point when things are more calm and it was very sweet of Ali to say she'd love to have me back.
So, my fanfiction archive which Vera has created is pretty much finished now and it looks amazing. She's done a brilliant job and I'm so grateful to her for all of her hard work. If anyone wants to check it out, just click on the pic below:
Oh, and I received my tape of "Celeste in the City" on Saturday from Jenny and it is such a cute movie. I thought Majandra, Nick and Ethan did a really good job and I really enjoyed it. It was a little on the predictable side but so what. I love these type of fluffy romantic comedies and it was a nice way of spending an hour and-a-half. It was funny seeing Mo with the bad wig and clothes but she still managed to look good. :D How unfair is that!!
I watched the brand new eps of "Alias" and "The O.C." on Sunday and they were good. It was strange seeing Melissa George on TV again (although I saw her in the last season of Friends) but this time she uses her Aussie accent. I was quite a big fan of hers in the early 90s when she was in "Home and Away" as Angel. Of course, I feel a natural hatred towards her character in "Alias" as I'm a serious S/V shipper. I've got a bad feeling about her.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
03.17.04 (12:06 am) [edit]
Okay, so I'm not Irish...not even a little bit...but it doesn't stop me having a drink. Happy St. Paddy's people.
I've been a bit busy this past few days and again I haven't been online for as much I'd like which sucks. I'm so behind on my fanfic feedbacking and so I'm feeling pretty guilty. I need to get my ass in gear and get back on track.
I'm pretty excited at the moment 'cos Vera's working on something for me and it looks amazing. I can't wait until it's all done and you can all have a look. :D
So, while I've been busy I've managed to keep listening to Busted. I've lost track of how many times I've played the CD since the concert. God, I wish I could go and watch them again.
Speaking of music, this has got to be one of my favourite songs at the moment.
[b]Left Outside Alone ~ Anastacia[/b]
[i]All my life I've been waiting For you to bring a fairy tale my way Been living in a fantasy without meaning It's not okay I don't feel safe
Left broken empty in despair Wanna breath can't find air Thought you were sent from up above But you and me never had love So much more I have to say Help me find a way
And I wonder if you know How it really feels To be left outside alone When it's cold out here Well maybe you should know Just how it feels To be left outside alone To be left outside alone
All my life I've been waiting For you to bring a fairytale my way Been living in a fantasy without meaning It's not okay I don't feel safe I need to pray
Why do you play me like a game? Always someone else to blame Careless, helpless little man Someday you might understand There's not much more to say But I hope you find a way
Still I wonder if you know How it really feels To be left outside alone When it's cold out here Well maybe you should know Just how it feels To be left outside alone To be left outside alone
All my life I've been waiting For you to bring a fairytale my way Been living in a fantasy without meaning It's not okay I don't feel safe I need to pray

Anastacia was on Schooly's show last night on Capital Radio but I forgot and so missed it. I really admire the way she's dealt with her illness and how she's talking about it now to try and help other women.
Okay, I guess it's time to get up.

Sh*t!! I'm deaf!!
03.12.04 (4:11 pm) [edit]
I've just got back from Wembley and as I'm not feeling tired at all, I thought I'd post a quick entry. :)
Busted are f*cking awesome in concert! My throat is hoarse and my hearing is a bit dodgy right now but I don't care!! I had an amazing night and I got a really good view from where I was sitting which was up on the left side. One of the good things about liking a band that so many little kids like is that most of the audience were short. The parents who took said kids were sitting down for most of the show, although some of them - the hipper ones LOL!! - were bopping away too.
If anyone has got tickets for their forthcoming shows, you're in for a real treat. :D
Nighty night!!

A very short blog to say that I'm off now to see Busted performing live at Wembley Arena. I'll post a full review tomorrow. It'll probably be pretty late tomorrow as God knows what time I'm getting in tonight. :D
Later.

So I finally saw it...
03.09.04 (9:05 am) [edit]
What am I talking about I hear you ask. Why, The O.C. of course. It finally aired in the UK on Sunday night - the first episode was on Channel 4 and that was followed by the second one on E4. I really liked it and I'll keep watching but to be honest I can't see myself becoming totally addicted to it the way I did with Roswell and Buffy and Angel. Maybe I'm talking too soon though.
I got my Will Young and Joss Stone CDs yesterday but I haven't yet had a chance to listen to them yet. Hopefully, I will later this week. There are so many CDs I want right now - I want the new Sugababes single as well as Anastasia's new album, oh and Guns 'n' Roses Greatest Hits which is out next Monday. I absolutely love November Rain. :D
I can't believe my Busted concert is on Friday. I'm so excited although I'm probably gonna feel so old when I'm there. If only I could "borrow" someone's kid to take with me as my cover. They've already sold out a brand new tour in December and I wasn't able to get tickets which I'm gutted about.
Speaking of boybands, Westlife announced today that Bryan's leaving to spend more time with his wife and daughters. The other four are going to be continuing as a four-piece but people are already saying that they'll probably split up after their world tour ends. We'll have to wait and see.
Okay, off to get some dinner.

Hey Hey!!
03.05.04 (12:11 pm) [edit]
This week has been a pretty lazy one for me and no doubt this weekend will be too. It'll be a big contrast to last weekend I can tell ya!
I was really psyched to be made a co-moderator over at Majandra's board yesterday so I'll be working along side Marica and Val. I have to say a big thank you to Cindy and to Val for recommending me. *hugs*
I joined Destiny's new M&M Fanfic fanlisting which is called Explosive. If you're a Candy fan you might want to check it out.

I ordered a couple of CDs today: Will Young's new album 'Friday's Child' and Joss Stone's 'The Soul Sessions.' The last one is for Janet, although I'm sure I'll be stealing that from time to time.
I haven't got any plans this weekend except I'll probably pop out shopping on Sunday. Oh, I also need to record Majandra's 'The Sicks' album for one of the girls over at MB. I meant to do it during the week but something came up and I didn't get around to it.
Speaking of 'The Sicks,' Majandra posted over at her board today and mentioned that she's hopefully going to be having that re-manufactured so that those who missed out on getting a copy can get one. She also confirmed that a new CD will be out in the summer and I so can't wait for that. It's gonna be great. :D
If anyone's interested, here's her post:
Bonjour
Also, here are a few more of my pics from Paris:

Majandra in Paris!!
03.01.04 (11:59 pm) [edit]
Yesterday was such a lazy day for me. I woke up and could hardly move I was so stiff. My feet are still killing me and my legs ache like mad. I don't think I've climbed that many stairs in my whole life. The good news is that I've lost 7lbs in two days which definitely brightened my day. :D
Anyway, this is the story of my weekend in Paris.
I got up at 3.45 am on Saturday so that I had plenty of time to do everything I needed to and I'm definitely glad I got up that early. My mum and stepdad drove me and Janet to Waterloo Station at 6.15 am and we arrived there just before 7 am. Check-in was fine and we sat in the lounge until we were asked to board.
The journey was so smooth and I have to say Eurostar is a nice, relaxing way to travel. We arrived in Paris right on time at 11.47 am and at first we didn't see the girls who were meeting us but then I looked over at a group of girls and they looked back at me and luckily it was the right group. The group consisted of Didi, Lucy, Laurence, Pascale and Severine. After greeting each other we caught the Metro and made our way to the hotel.
We went into Laurence's room and then met up with the others: Zee, Marica, Stephanie and Astrid.
After giving them the biscuits I’d bought, the basket was wrapped up with cellophane and ribbons and we all took photos of it - both before and after the wrapping - as well as the fanbook. I have to say that Didi and Lucy did an amazing job of putting the book together and everyone's personal contributions were beautiful.
A little while later we all left to go to the signing which was held at Fnac. There were so many people there already and the two Noelia's were right at the front. As well as meeting them, I also met Amelie. We waited a few hours before Majandra and RoBERT appeared and they performed a song from Tim Burton's 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' and then 'Le Prince Bleu' which sounded so good live. They then answered a couple of questions each before the signing started. When Didi and Stalker went up they gave her the fanbook which she started to flick through. Laurence then gave her the gift basket and Zee took some photos of it. I was so happy when she called out to Devon and made a comment about the biscuits I'd bought for her. :D
Oh, I should have mentioned already that Devon Gummersall was there. At first he mainly stayed inside but he occasionally came out and the group were able to get his autograph as well as some pics. He's a real sweetie.
I eventually went up and got my copy of Arthelius (which Laurence gave me as a gift :D ) signed by both Mo and RoBERT. Unfortunately, at that point the bodyguards seemed to get even stricter with people and were moving people on before they had a chance to say anything which kinda sucked!
Anyway, I at least got her autograph and that made me happy.
After that, we all left the signing and went to a supermarket to get something to eat. We then caught the Metro again and headed to the concert venue.
It was absolutely freezing cold and we had to wait for several hours before we were let in. One of the highlights though was when we saw a taxi pull up and Devon and Majandra came out and they walked into the venue. A while later Devon came outside and started taking photos of the fans and a group of girls, some of them were from the group I was with, went over to him and asked for autographs and to have photos taken with him and he was very sweet and complied.
When we were let in, our group all got to sit together. It was a bit uncomfortable though as it was floor seating and it was a hard floor. Let's just say my ass was pretty numb after sitting there for a few hours.
It was well worth it though when Majandra came out in a beautiful long white/pale blue dress and her hair in curls. These are the songs she sang:
I'm Mad Ski-Ming Not Over This Bruises Hell + Bliss
While singing ‘I’m Mad’ and ‘Not Over This’, Mo played the piano which sounded great.
Her ‘band’ consisted of her laptop computer and she occasionally made jokes about the ‘band’ not being ready which was funny.
During ‘Ski-Ming’ she did this sexy little dance that had us enthralled.
During one of the other songs (I can’t remember which), she did a little striptease taking off what I thought was a dress but was in fact more like a wrap/coat to reveal a slinky white/pale blue dress underneath which had slits up either side.
When she started ‘Hell + Bliss’ she looked over at Devon who was taking pics and said, “This one’s for you Toots,” which was just so cute.
After that song she started to sing the song from ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ and RoBERT then came out and they sang that together. Once it ended, Majandra left the stage and RoBERT began her concert.
When it was time for ‘Le Prince Bleu’ Majandra came back out and they sang it together and at the end of the concert Majandra came out again to do an encore of it. This time she was wearing one of her own logo T-shirts over the dress.
After the concert had ended, we hung around as we had to wait for Franck to return Zee’s photo album of the previous Paris concert to her. Unfortunately, the bodyguards were clearing the place so we had to leave but I think the girls were told that there might be another signing in another part of the venue so we made our way there.
To cut a long story short, there was another signing and our group went in last and sung Happy Birthday to her which she seemed to like judging by the huge smile on her face. Devon came over while we were doing it and he was smiling too. She then signed our things for us and this time they were personalised. I got my Arthelius magazine signed again - this time the photo on the inside - and I also got to speak to her which was very cool. I basically said that I hoped she enjoyed the Rich Tea and Chocolate Digestives that I’d bought for her and were part of the gift basket. She smiled and said that she’d first tried them several years ago when she used to come to England on holiday and since then, whenever she was over here she would buy some so she was glad to see them in the basket.
After everyone had got their autographs, we managed to get a group picture of all of us which Devon took on Zee’s camera. I can’t wait to see how that comes out.
Majandra is such a sweet person and totally attentive when she’s talking to people. She comes across as being very genuine and interested in what’s being said to her which leaves you feeling really good.
After the signing, we all left and hurried to try and catch the last Metro back to the hotel but unfortunately we missed it so we had to get taxis back.
I was so wired that it took me ages to fall asleep and I was up early again the next morning as we were all going to do a little sightseeing. We didn’t have much time as Janet and I had to be back at Gare du Nord for 1 pm so we just went to the Eiffel Tower which was very cool. We didn’t go up to the top as it was pretty cold and there was a really long line too. We took pics and Janet and I bought a replica Eiffel Tower as a souvenir for mum. Believe me, there would have been hell to pay if we hadn’t bought her anything. LOL!!
When we got to the station, we said our goodbyes to the girls and then got something to eat from one of the shops there before we checked in.
So, that’s my trip to Paris and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was so cool seeing Majandra in person and getting to actually talk to her was amazing. I also loved meeting all the European Pixies, they are lovely people.
